• Welcome to my weblog!

This is a weblog where I can put up some of my best work as make-up artist(visagist)/hairstylist. It's great to work with make-up and see how it can really transform people. I've worked with Estee Lauder, Dior, Lancaster and many other major brands but I also do freelance work for media productions such as TV, films, commercials, fashion, editorials, music videos as well as weddings and other special occasions and etc. I hope to reach more people to see my work and hopefully to get more contacts in this area. Feel free to contact me if you are interested either on my mobile or with email.

Disclaimer
I can't guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone's skin is different and it's possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

You can find some of my work under the 'Blog Archive'. Thanks for visiting.

Gaelle

Gaelle is half Dutch and half Colombian. She reminds me of Eva Longoria. But she is very sweet so don't expect her to be your typical Desperate Housewife. ;) Sultry brown hair and great smile. Her skintone is generally even with freckles which I adore. A little bit of concealer under the eyes and around the nose and very light foundation. I didn't want to hide her beautiful freckles. Accent is given to her eyes but her lips are muted. The rest was more about her smile.

Yara

Yara reminds me of Maria Callas in the 60's. She has that elegant face. I started with a clean base and played around with her eyes with a deep olive hue. Eyebrows neatly darkened to match her beautiful raven-black hair. Finally a touch of bright red lips to compliment the monochrome look.

Liza (Test)

This is a test make-up for my final exam look. The theme is 'Circus'. My model here is Liza. The look here is ex·ag·ger·at·ed ringmistress. I began with an evened skin as canvas. Colour scheme here is probably what you can find in a circus scene; happy colours. Her hair has been tied up in a tight chignon. This look will be enhanced later for the final exam with more ornaments.

Chani (Expressive)

Here you see Chani again. This look was my initial idea for my final make-up show. The theme was 'Moulin Rouge Goes To Space' but it the idea developed a bit too abrupt.
Playing again with Silver & Magenta. Foundation I did here was a shade lighter than her own skin tone. Silver is very dominant here to create that spacy look while the magenta spots and Swarovsky crystals portrays the flow of a comet in the space but still keeps that extravagant and glittery look of the Moulin Rouge. Her nose and cheeks has been shaded to create depth.

Finale IV

An idea about the hairdo to go with the theme. May not be final yet. :t

Finale III

The idea board (comes with an apart story-line book) and the costume with accessories.

Finale II

...more

Finale I

Some of make-up samples for the final show on June 19, 2008. Still pending for the definite look.

Fred (Jesus)

Here again working with Fred. Always pleasant. I must say it is not one of my tidiest work of all.
Here Fred is portrayed as 'Jesus' for a body paint work.

Chani (Silver & Magenta)

The theme here is Silver and Magenta. Her hair has been partially straighten and then brushed to a high ponytail. Hat my own. Top model's own.

Chani (The 20's)

It was fun doing this. The theme was the 20's.

Chani (Hair)

Chani is not only a chameleon with make-up. She has naturally curly hair. At times, I like to experiment with her hair. Curly, straight and back to wavy. Up or down, it doesn't matter with Chani it's just right all the time.

Chani (Wedding)

The idea here is gorgeous, clean and fresh. My idea for this look is winter wedding. Soft colours on the eyes but fresh red on the lips.

Chani (Evening)

Here is an evening look I did on Chani.

Chani (Glamorous)

Here is glamorous look I did on Chani.

Chani (Natural)

Chani is half Dutch and half Israelian. One of the most sweetest girl I knew since I came to The Netherlands. She is also studying at the same beauty school as I am IMKO School of Beauty, Amsterdam.
I worked a lot with her as she is very beautiful and can have any type of make-up I want.
